'Flight of the Gibbon' and 'Jungle Flight' - 2 Companies that Help you Fly From Tree to Tree

"Flight of the Gibbon' and 'Jungle Flight' are 2 companies offering a very similar service...to zip wire

from tree to tree high up in the jungle canopy. Sounds interesting huh!

They're able to do this with a combination of platforms, tree-houses, cables and sky bridges. Quite what the actual gibbons think about this I can't imagine - they probably didn't hang around too long to investigate!

The companies are putting something back into the local areas - 'Flight of the Gibbon' gives 10 percent of its profits to wildlife conservation and 'Jungle Flight' funds transport and lunches for the local children.

I didn't go to either place myself so I can't recommend one over the other - taking a look at their websites might help you make a decision - www.treetopasia.com. for 'Flight of the Gibbon'(FOTG) and www.jungle-flight.com, for, you've guessed it, 'Jungle Flight' (JF)

'FOTG' has appeared on the the TV show, 'The Amazing Race Asia' (you can watch the clip on their website - all the participants seemed to love it). If you're in Chiang Mai you'll see advertising for 'FOTG' all over the place. FOTG's website looks....better....but, you can't always go by that...look at my design skills for this website!!

They're both priced around the 2,000 Baht mark - JF is slightly cheaper.

They're both similar distances from Chiang mai...about 45 minutes away...they'll pick you up from your hotel if you're in Chiang Mai to take you there - FOTG is in jungle south-east of the city - JF is north. Both trips included getting to know local villagers and short treks to see a waterfall. If you decide to go, happy swinging!
