Mountain View Guesthouse - a Peaceful Guesthouse in Chiangmai

Mountain View Guesthouse first opened in 1989 and I can see why it's survived the test of time. It has a laid-back garden restaurant area - a calm place to sit and read a book or meet other travelers. There are 10 fan rooms costing 250/300 baht a night and 27 aircon rooms, priced between 400-600 baht for the night. There are also some deluxe air-con rooms for 800 baht. There's a cable for your laptop in the rooms to connect to the internet.

The restaurant here opens between 7am and 7pm serving both Thai and Western style food. Dishes are reasonably priced at between 40-80 Thai Baht.
