Pantrix - the Nong Khai Alternative Center
They offer 7 day yoga courses, usually 2 times a month, for a reasonable 5,000 baht. There's also reiki initiation courses, chakra workshops, birth chart readings and more. The center is within the peaceful, leafy grounds of Mut Mee Guesthouse (numbered 1 on the map on my Nong Khai Hotels page).
I haven't done any courses here but a friend of mine did the yoga course back in 2006 and he said it was great. He urged me to meet Pancho and Beatrix - I met just Pancho in February, 2009 and had a long chat with him. He has a real calming prescence and I really felt I learnt a lot from him. One day, I would like to try the course for myself. You can join in a group sitting meditation (at no cost) in the early morning and afternoon. Head to Mut Mee guesthouse to find out a bit more - the times appear to usually be from 6am to 7am and 2pm to 3pm.
