Phrathat Nong Khai - A Broken Pagoda in Nong Khai, Thailand
Phrathat Nong Khai (also known as Phrathat Klang Nam) is the remains of a 400 to 600 year old temple that collapsed into the Mekong River in 1849. Subsequent erosion means it's now in the center of the Mekong, causing it to only be visible during the dry season. Locals have decorated it with flags.

It's a lovely cycle or walk along Nong Khai's long promenade. I saw a fisherman sitting on the pagoda fishing - quite an unusual and relaxing place to do it! A replica of how the temple used to look was built on the riverbank close to the original in 2006. It looks great - it lights up at night and can be seen in the distance from kilometers away. I wonder if the replica will be eaten by the Mekong in a few hundred years!

To get here, look at the top right section of this map. It's written as the sunken chedi (and should be further out from the riverbank than shown on the map!), From the town center, just head to the Mekong river and journey along the promenade.
